Fire Department

Gibbon Fire Department is 100% volunteer with an average of 32 members serving both the city of Gibbon and rural Gibbon. The service area is approximately 200 square miles. Members are trained at various levels for firefighting with some members EMT trained.

  • Fire meeting are held on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m.
  • Training is the third Monday of every month.
  • The department is equipped with two emergency units, one rescue truck, two pumper trucks, two tankers, one command trailer, one gator, and three quick attach grass rigs.
  • Gibbon also has an active firefighter auxiliary that actively supports the department.
